The Rockford Fire Department uses a third party vendor to bill for our ambulance transports. If you have a question concerning your bill, please contact MED3000 at 1-866-631-4551.

The department also has specialty vehicles for rescue and Hazmat operations.
Our main concern in any medical emergency is to provide support as quickly as possible. All fire suppression companies are equipped with at least one ALS certified personnel. Because there are only 5 ambulances to cover the city, by sending a fire truck we can ensure that Advanced Life Support is on scene in a timely manner.
